Day 6... Florida

Today it was VERY VERY HOT and muggy!! Almost to Hot for this woman! But we had a great day. Went to a park in the morning to play with the kids, went swimming in the afternoon and then we all packed up and went to Orlando for the night. We dropped Scarlett and Ryan off at the airport to head to Ohio. Then we went to an outlet mall where Jill and Amy went shopping and Sam and I played with the boys at a little park at the outlet. Then we went to Downtown Disney where we meet Emil & Angie and Steven (Amy's brother in law and Emil's wife Angie) We eat at Planet Hollywood and then walked around Downtown Disney. We even got to watch the space shuttle take off last night. I was just a bright flame in the sky! It was neat but we couldn't see much of the shuttle since it was dark outside.

Day 5 .... Florida

Last night we put the kids to bed early after Jill let them paint pictures. Amy and I went to the airport to pick up Sam. Got back to Jill's around 2 am! Sam and I spent day at St. Augustine for a little date while the kids went swimming and took naps.

Day 4... Florida

The day at the beach! With Eli loving the water, Scarlett face planting into the sand and Cooper absolutely hating the water it made for a very interesting day at the beach! Since Scarlett is now a Florida girl... we figured we better dress her like the rest of the Floridian people ... in her thermals... if you were wondering why she had so much clothes on... they think that 80* is cold!!!

Day 3 ... Florida

Today we went to St. Augustine to play at a park. When we got there we found a Veterans ceremony event where the kids got to play with the trucks, weapons, uniforms and other army/navy supplies. They had a gun salute and a ceremony where they named every person that had died for our country this year. The kids had a good time and enjoyed all the free little samples. Thank you to all who served for our Country and for our freedom that we have today!

Day 2 ... Florida

I can't believe it is Day 2 already! But here it goes! We got up went for our morning walk and pulled the boys in the wagon. Then we came back and filled up the kiddie pool and enjoyed the day out at Jill's pool. We had a fun adventure trying to act like we knew how to jump Jill's car. Thankfully her nice neighbor man Charles came to save the day! The kids are busy playing and eating snacks. Jill made us Chicken Pasta Alfredo for supper that was very yummy.

We made it to FLORIDA

My sister Amy, two of her children Eli(3 ½), Cooper (1 ½) and I made it safely to Florida at 5:00am on Sunday morning to visit my Sister Jill and her family. We left on Saturday at 3:00pm after a successful craft show I was working at. My wonderful husband came and finished up my shift so that we could get on the road. The trip went very well. The boys did great and we made it with papa’s van in one piece. (*Thank you papa… for letting us borrow your van) We did have an interesting experience in West Virginia when we almost ran out of GAS in the middle of NO MAN’S land! It was not good! But thankfully we were able to find a station in the middle of NO MAN’S land and had a wonderful ride from that point on. Scarlett was happy to see her cousins and they are having a wonderful time playing together. I hope to keep you posted this week with fun pictures since I am at a home that has HIGH SPEED internet and cute kids to talk about!

The Flu!

This week/weekend I had the pleasure of hanging my head in a toilet bowl. It was a pleasure!.. let me tell you! I am not thankful enough for my healthy moments in life. I spend all day doing what is scheduled in my little black book and never take the time to thank God for just good health and strength. I had a big weekend planned. But just like everything else in life. God is in control and for some reason my husband was on God’s side with agreeing that I needed to slow down. But as nice as it sounds to just take a four day break of doing nothing it is hard to do. It’s not like I was sitting at a beach … I was sitting on my couch just staring at all the piles of work that needed done. It was a little hard for me just to SIT and re-strengthen my self. But every time I thought I had a whim of energy to get up and conquer a pile I would find my self back on the couch in 10 minutes. Thankfully I have been blessed with good health and strength this Monday morning. So here comes the trick… learning to say NO. You would think by my week to week activities that I never said NO. But really I say NO all the time. So we will see how this week goes and if I can keep a simple schedule :o)…ha! Wish me luck….cause I will need it!
