BuSy WeEk!!!

Wednesday morning the mover guy came and hauled everything down to his van. He sure got a workout going down our steps to his van. Everything went great though and our stuff is on the way back to the USA!!! Yippee!

Kora didn't know what was going on... but sure loved crawling around the piles.

She is the head cleaning lady at our Pension and Kora always loved when Mrs. Veith would play with her. She was like a grandma to Kora here. Many tears were shed when it was our last time to see Mrs. Veith. We will miss her very much!

Last time in Germany AC Church

Sunday was the last time for us at the Schutterzell church. After church the Gepperts had us back for dinner. They had HUGE pretzel subs, cheese cake and some yummy pudding mix. We had a great time and will SURE MISS everyone.

The GOOD BYE.... We were down the street and around the corner and they were still waving GOOD BYE! We have felt such a warm welcome and love from the Schutterzell church congregation. We will miss them all very much!!!!!

A Message from KoRa LiLy

Hello Everyone,
I am so excited that we will be coming home to OHIO next SATURDAY to see all of you. This week we have been busy saying Goodbye to some of our GERMAN friends. On Wednesday my Daddy got really sick and on Thursday my Mommy got really sick.... and today (Saturday) they are both starting to feel a little better... and are able to get off of the couch! SO>.. WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING??? I have been playing with anything that I want.... where ever I want! Skipping naps... and blah blah blah...

.... and sadly here I am an hour later... .still attempting to climb on the parallel bars...

I miss all of you soooo much and can't wait to see you all next weekend!

Weekend in Zurich

This past weekend we went to Zurich, Switzerland to visit Alea (Kora's little friend) and her parents Daniel n Kasey. We went to a park so that our girls could play. The last time we got together our girls didn't seem too interested in one another. This weekend... they really had fun playing and laughing together. (They are only 1 week apart in age.)

The weather was perfect and the park was beautiful and relaxing.

After the girls played... they both took naps in their strollers as us parents talked the afternoon away.
Sleeping gIrLsDaddy's were sure big troopers while us mommy's were rolling around on the ground trying to get pictures of our little girls.

We then walked back to Daniel n Kasey's house for some yummy home made pizza!!!

Nurnberg, Merry-Go-Round

When we were at the Nurnberg fest they had a Merry-Go-Round. So I talked my husband in to taking little Kora Lily for a ride. She was the only one on the Merry-Go-Round.... and she loved it. I told Sam to pick what ever animal he wanted since Kora wasn't big enough to pick her own. There were all kinds of animals and He picked a wildboar... :o)

She loved trying to find me everytime it went around.

I love this picture of Noah... He was running around with the Merry-go-round to film Kora and Daddy. Kora is always staring at him... I told him he better warn his fiance that he has competition.

Week in Nurnberg - 09/13-18/09

Sam had some training in Nurnberg for a week so we were thankful that Kora and I got to tag along. Our room was tiny with slanted ceilings... but we thought it was good warm up for the little house we will be moving back into in about 2 weeks!!!!

On Wednesday Kora was sick of our little room... so I put her in the car and drove around Nurnberg for about an hour. Well this was one of my findings. This is where Hitler would deliver his speeches. Nuremberg Rally (officially, Reichsparteitag, meaning Reich national party convention) were held at the Nazi party rally grounds.

We then headed to the Altstadt (old town) in Nurnberg.
The farmers are having a problem with the government. So they drove there manure spreaders to the main street and parked them there all day. (With seeing all of these tractors … made us feel like we were back in Wayne County;O) At the main fountain in Nurnberg there is a ring you are supposed to turn for good luck. I guess I will be out of luck for a while... because I couldn't even reach it.... lol

I had this for dinner - OX rotating on a spindle. The whole thing was gone before the night was even over.

Kora wasn't to sure about Nurnberg and was happy to come back to our home in Neusatz. Sam said with us coming home in 2 weeks... he is not going to be calling Neusatz home anymore....

Saturday, September 12th - Buhl Plum Fest

OK.. I am way behind on our BLOG! It is amazing what no internet for a week can do! On Saturday, September 12th we went to the PLUM Fest in our local town of BUHL. We enjoyed some of the Music and FOOD!

We kept running into too our American friends at the small little fest. It would be like going to the Wayne County Fair and seeing people you know. The only difference is... this family was about the ONLY people we knew :o)

OK.... SO the fest was called PLUM FEST!

Plums are not exactly in Sam & I diet....

BUT WE sure did make an exception when we saw this

and Waffles with PLUM topping (what Sam had)

It is amazing what SUGAR can do!!!!!

It was SURE A GREAT TREAT!!!!
