House - Update...

It's been fun watching the progress of our house.  Things are starting to come together and we can't wait to see it finished.  Here is a pictures before they painted.  Does anyone want to guess the colors we used ...

Kora will tell you .. Purple and Green....
This is looking into our kitchen and to the left is the steps down and main entry.  The Yellow room in the back is laundry.
Here's from standing in our kitchen looking into the family room.
Kora loves to show people her house.  She is looking forward in using her tubby and can't figure out how to put the water in it.

Grandpa & Grandma Clark...

It has honestly been quite an interesting past couple of months.  We have seen God working in our lives and yet we still hold fast to Him for the strength each day.  I have updated the blog with the happenings over the past 7 weeks... since our little son went to heaven.

On Thursday, March 10th Grandpa Clark (90 yrs) passed away peacefully at Barberton Hospital.  Early Sunday morning Grandma Clark (88yrs) passed away, following Grandpa Clark home.  Grandpa Clark was wounded in WW2 and had Black Lung from working in the mines.  Grandma Clark has battled cancer for years.  They would have been married for 70 years this fall.  Sam's Mom (other wise known on the blog as Nana) has taken care of Grandpa & Grandma Clark for many of years.  They lived at home together up until the time that they passed away.  They were very special people in many of lives.  The funeral was this past Wednesday for both.  I have never witnessed a double funeral... but I felt like it was an amazing love story.

Kora Lily package...

Nana got Kora Lily a play table for her birthday.  She was so excited when the man dropped it off.  She was  loves helping and enjoyed putting her table together.

When it rains.... it pours.... 2-28-11

When it rains.... IT POURS...
and this time... I can literally show proof...
Our basement... (along with many others) flooded, due to all the rain and snow melting over a short period of time.  My wonderful husband... took the day off and we spent the whole day cleaning up the mess.  We had 6 inches of water in our basement.  Not exactly how we were planning on starting our week.  But sometimes in life.... when it rains it POURS.... and we pray that God will give us the strength to weather what ever kind of storms.... come our way.

Daddies little helper....

Kora Lily always enjoys helping daddy shovel snow... no matter what time of day or night it is.

Friends....

Kora, Evie & Zoli came over to play.  The girls were busy laughing at the crazy parents who were trying to make them laugh in there matching PJ's, while Zoli eat his treats.

Chocolate Party - 2-25-11

We enjoyed a night out with friends for a wonderful Italian dinner and chocolate party for valentines day celebrations.  This was the YUMMY chocolate heart shell with, white chocolate filling drizzled with raspberries.  Everyone brought a chocolate dessert that came.  So we left as sweet as can be that evening.

Praise You in this Storm....

"Praise You In This Storm"

I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus:]
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus]

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I have always loved this song...
but it is amazing how much this song really means to us now.
