We MADE it HOME!!!

We are thankful that we were able to get home on Saturday night around 10pm (4am German time). We started our morning out at 6:00am (Germany time). With an 8hour flight that turned into 10 hours and Kora who was to busy flirting with everyone on the airplane to sleep. Then to top it off by getting to Philadelphia with only 40 MINUTES to go through customs, immigration, claim baggage, recheck baggage, catching a bus and RUNNING! When we got off of our 1st flight the US Airways staff was lined up and handing people tickets for the next available flight if you did not catch your flight that was already booked. I looked at the new tickets and it said depart 8:49. So I told Sam we would never make it 40 minutes to our gate we can take the next flight. So we stopped at the bathrooms. When I came out Sam said .... "Joy.. you do realize that the tickets are for 8:49 am Sunday morning right..." I said "NO ... we are NOT staying in Philadelphia... we are RUNNING" and off we RAN!!!! You know I have seen people running before in the airport and I always thought... what goobers... why can't they just be on time.... BUT We literary RAN through the entire airport. Our gate door was closed ... but thankfully they did not close the plane door and we made it just on time. With sweat pouring down our faces and bodies we sat down on the plane from Philadelphia to Cleveland and Kora started giggling her head off!!! I know we must have been quite a site RUNNING through the airport. Sam with a back pack and caring Kora's car seat and me with the diaper bag pushing a stroller with a kid hanging on for dear life. Does she know how crazy her parents are or what? But it was a miracle that we were able to catch the connecting flight. When we got to Cleveland both Grandmas and pa-pa were waiting for us at baggage. Even though our luggage missed the flight (I guess it didn't run as fast as we did). Kora who had not slept was so HAPPY to see them. She finally bit the bullet and fell asleep on the car ride home. We made a stop at the Ingold's house for a "Welcome back to OHIO" party. Everyone was dressed in RED, WHITE & BLUE and we ate our FIRST AMERICAN STEAK, Shrimp, Chicken Wings, RANCH DRESSING, Chip's & DIP, Cookies & AMERICAN PEPSI! WOW... WHAT A TREAT!!! We were so excited to see the kids!!! We thought we would play a trick on them and only speak German. It was sooo cute to see there faces... they really thought we forgot how to speak English... :o) Kora was not to excited to be awake... so we couldn't stay long. But we were thankful we made it home and was able to see some of the family. We ended our day with thanks and we all slept like a rock!! (Our luggage arrived on Sunday at our house at 4pm)
