Butler girls....

We were so excited to get the Butler girls for a couple of days this past week.  I am not sure where this summer is going, but it has been filled with a lot of fun and sun.

Daddy's birthday....

It was Sam's birthday this past Tuesday.  Everytime you ask him if he wants anything, he kindly replies no. (Unlike me who will have a list of things I would love to have that are not in our budget). So I decided to surprise him with a night out to Columbus. This was the first time in four years that we have ever left our kids, besides going to the hospital to have another baby.  We started our evening going to German Vilage and eating at Schmidts.  What a treat!!!

My amazing Uncle John planned a fun little picnic at a very peaceful park in Columbus on Memorial Day. It was so relaxing with an amazing lunch he just made. 

We laughed that he didn't get the memo to wear red.

We stopped to see Uncle Sonny at his beautiful retirement village before heading home. 

We love our children more then any words can ever type. But this one night away. Ended up being 25 hours, was one of our best trips ever, simply amazing.  For years we said we were going to get away for a night and we never do.  Kids, life, work, and everything else just make the days, weeks, months, years slip away.  No I am not paying for your trip or selling vacation plans. But I encourage all of you, especially if you have never done this before, to take your spouse out and spoil them.  They deserve it. :0)

Bugged.....

We are totally bugged out at our house. I can be very over whelmed by lil creatures in my house.  Pink Bean even remembered from last year and said don't worry mommy "I will go on ANT DUTY and watch for them". Sadly - I am not a fan at all!  Many people laugh and say everyone has ANTS or you would never survive in the wilderness.  But the fact is, I don't live in the wilderness, I live in a country that has products to prevent this from happening. So spraying away I go, blocking my kids to only rooms that have not been sprayed and squealing with delight when we have an area that we can enjoy again!!!  Isn't it amazing to think how God made us all so different. I was NOT made to not notice the Ant or to sit back and watch them take over my house.  God made me with a drive to notice the small things and react. To NOT sit back and let things that are not welcome in my life dwell in my house. Boy did this make me think!!!  I have a lot of work to do for Him and not just my house full of Ants!!!!  How has God made you???  Where does God give you drive?

Summer....

This is going to be a fun summer. The kids are loving the outdoors.  This was today after our swim in the kiddy pool. 

This morning we started the day with play group and a picnic at Elsa's house. 

This was last week when Green Bean was learning how to squirt a hose.  

Pink Bean thought she would give lessons to Green Bean. 

The kids watching daddy put together a table from our day trip to Cincinnati to Ikea and to visit the Butlers. 

The kids didn't want to leave.  We had a great time catching up and watching the kids run around the back yard all dressed up for play.

Pink Bean has had a wonderful year at preschool. They finished off the year with a couple of field trips. This was today to a local restaurant, toy store and ice cream shop. 

She is going to miss her wonderful teachers and friends this summer.  Now one last summer before she goes to kindergarten...  Yes I am already crying!!!

I guess since Pink Bean doesn't have a sister, she will make Green Bean play the part. 

Wham!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever seriously looked at someone and judged them for no reason at all?  Sadly this was me today, judging this poor lady in the Target parking lot, and the Wham!!!!! God smacked me in the head. No joke!!!!!  I literally knocked my self out in the head by opening my own car door!  Boy did I feel like God was saying Joy Joy shame on you, who do you think you are, that lady is one of my children. Ouch!!!! I am not sure which was hurt more my pride or my head. So if you notice a big bump or bruise on my head, ya, I am humbled. 

Well as most target trips go for this momma and two boys, we were all exhausted by the time we were done shopping and we had to fly back to pick up sissy from school.  They didn't last long......

Yup... It's time to start blogging again. I was told most still come to my page to check out all the cool blogs on my side page. So I will try to add some updates of what's going on with my family. 

Along with all the other fun this month... Green Bean turned TWO!!!!!

Another year has come and gone....

Veterans Day.

Thankful for my dad, my hubby and the millions of other men and women who have served our country for the amazing freedom we have today.  THANK YOU!!!
