Daddy's birthday....

It was Sam's birthday this past Tuesday.  Everytime you ask him if he wants anything, he kindly replies no. (Unlike me who will have a list of things I would love to have that are not in our budget). So I decided to surprise him with a night out to Columbus. This was the first time in four years that we have ever left our kids, besides going to the hospital to have another baby.  We started our evening going to German Vilage and eating at Schmidts.  What a treat!!!

My amazing Uncle John planned a fun little picnic at a very peaceful park in Columbus on Memorial Day. It was so relaxing with an amazing lunch he just made. 

We laughed that he didn't get the memo to wear red.

We stopped to see Uncle Sonny at his beautiful retirement village before heading home. 

We love our children more then any words can ever type. But this one night away. Ended up being 25 hours, was one of our best trips ever, simply amazing.  For years we said we were going to get away for a night and we never do.  Kids, life, work, and everything else just make the days, weeks, months, years slip away.  No I am not paying for your trip or selling vacation plans. But I encourage all of you, especially if you have never done this before, to take your spouse out and spoil them.  They deserve it. :0)

Pink Bean & Her Puppy....

We took Nana to Amish County for a little one night vacation away from home.  We eat out, spent the night in a little cottage and spent the next day taste testing cheese, chocolate & shopping around.  .... oh and I forgot the most important - Pink Bean & A Puppy!

Eating at the Farm Stead...

Now for most of you that really know me... I am NOT a dog fan - IN any way shape or form!  My lovely Pink Bean is in LOVE with dogs and begs for one every day.  We told her that when we went on vacation we would go to a puppy farm and she could hold a puppy.  We did inform her that we were NOT going to buy one - we were just going to hold them.  She was THRILLED to say the least and could have spent all week here!

Pink Bean and the Dog!

The little "Girl" puppy wouldn't stop licking Pink Beans face... and even though I was ready to throw up... she was LOVING every second of it and couldn't stop giggling!!!

We left with only a few tears... but she did pretty good and really enjoyed her time with the puppy..

We finished up the afternoon with eating at another Amish Restaurant and then made our way home. 

Lexington... 12.8.12

We joined Dad & Mom for a trip to Lexington to serve in a church that we have down there.  We stopped by the Butlers to enjoy Scarletts birthday party.  It was an Art Theme - with lots of fun rainbow colors.

Even though lil Green Bean loves his bath tub... he was NOT impressed with the swimming pool that night at the hotel.

We had a fun trip with the girls and they LOVED riding in pa-pa van (even though they slept the whole way down to Lexington from Cini and the whole way back to Cini from Lexington)

Road Trip...

We were thrilled to get an invite by the Schleman's in Wolcott.  We have not traveled at all since we have been back in the states (like 3 years ago...lol)  So a road trip to Indian was a perfect little weekend away.  Kora loved that Ryan taught her how to have a real pillow fight.  The kids did pretty in the car - if you consider Cray crying for 2 hours straight as good - which we did - cause he could have been crying the whole time!  

 Thanks Ryan & Kim - we had a great weekend!

Local Zoo -

Daddy had the week off work - so we went to the Zoo.

We picked up Nana and had a HOT fun day at the Zoo.

Monday - Final Florida Day :o(

We loaded up first thing on Monday morning.  Went to the neighbors and picked some Florida Oranges to bring back to Ohio.  We stopped at the great Florida Outlet malls - then we made the long trek back home.  We will miss our fun trips to Florida.

Florida - Sunday

After church on Sunday we all relaxed and enjoy the day & evening together.  The kids went swimming in the Butler's pool and played outside.

 Cray River was a great little traveler.  He enjoyed being on the go the whole weekend and LOVES his car seat.  Mommy had a very easy weekend taking care of this lil guys to.  Made for a nice vacation!!!

 Kora Lily & Willow had a great weekend playing together.  It is so much fun to watch the girls grow up and how they play and interact together.
