We are packing again! That is right... tomorrow morning at 6am we pick up our first OHIO visitors at the airport and head to Budapest, Hungary. We ARE so excited for our visitors and can't wait to travel around with them!
The newest project that I have started is making some small silkies for Kora Lily. She loved this blanket that she received as a baby gift. But there was only ONE... and I didn't want her to get attached to something that could not be replaced. So after long thought... I decided to cut it into eight small little silkies (about the size of diaper clothes). I forgot how long it has been since I have sown by hand. I started out just cutting and making one silky first. I am pretty sure I started with one stich and ended with another! But once I got going... sewing started coming back to me. (Yes Amanda... I might be over to finish the other 7 on your machine...lol) I did have a good time... even thought I should have been packing :o)
The Original Blanket
(along with the little RED scissors)
(yes Lynn... Kora LOVEs your blanket... I hope you are not too sad we are cutting it up)
(now I have a back up scissors!)
Even though you may not be able to tell by this picture! Kora has not been feeling too good. She usually doesn't really like to be held too much and if you do get to hold her she is all over the place. But today she has wanted held all day... and she just lays in my arms. It is hard to tell if she has been running a fever... because it has been so HOT here... we have all been sweating. I hope she gets better for our visitors and road trip this weekend!
