Flint's Celebration - Rainbow

We wanted to have a special celebration for Flint.  We picked a rainbow theme since we believe Flint is in heaven and we wanted this to be a colorful celebration in honor of Flint's life.  Here are some detailed pictures of the party.

Amy's Famous layered Jell-O
Brownies & White Choc Oreo's
Beautiful Rainbow Fruit Kabob's that my mom put together.
Chocolate Filled Cupcakes
Colorful M&M Ice-cream that Joanna put together.
I added this in last minute when I learned that Daddy's favorite things to eat a birthday party are the different kinds of Chips & Dips.
Candy Buffet
Rainbow Drinks.
Flint's Memory Table.
We made little note pads for everyone in honor of Flint.  I will have to post more on this in another post.  It was very colorful and was a great idea I found online using Paint Sample Swatches.
Even though the Butlers were not able to come home, we know they were with us in spirit. They sent us BEAUTIFUL flowers that worked out PERFECT to accent our party.

Flint's Celebration - Friday, Jan 27th

Sam took off work on Friday and we spent the day remembering our little son.  We went to Applebee's for a birthday lunch, then we got flowers and took them out to put on Flint's stone.
In the evening we were honored to have a celebration party with family and friends.
Here is our first family picture since Cray was born.  Cray looks so much like his daddy in this picture!!

We had a balloon lift in honor of Flint.  I found the idea online to put glow sticks in the balloons.  But it didn't work very good outside.  They were little fishing glow sticks that will not affect the animals.  We were so honored and excited for all the support from family and friends!
 Fun pictures from the evening.....
Rhonda feeding baby cray for us!  Thanks!!!!!        Beautiful Savannah in her rainbow shirt :o)

Memorial Service & Hay Ride... 10.09.11

On Sunday we went to the Pine Tree Barn for an Memorial Service for people that have lost babies in our county.  They had a great service that was followed with balloons in memory of our children.  It was an emotional afternoon, but a great time to reflect and realize just how many people who have lost babies....

We then went to Uncle Jim & Aunt Jan's for a fall party.  Grandma made the kids cupcakes in Ice-Cream cones.  They were adorable and the kids thought it was great and tasted yummy!!
Daddy took Kora on the Hay ride with her cousins....
Grady is always getting smothered in kisses by his Aunt Joy...
can you see why?  He is so stinkin' cute....

6 Months

Yesterday it was Six Months since lil' Flint came and gone into our lives.  We still are still learning how these lil' footprints have left such big marks in our hearts!  Sometimes we struggle with learning to wrap all this around our minds.  But we look to all the Blessing that God has provided through all of this and lean on the hope of seeing him again some day in heaven.

Blessings...

Last night we heard about Blessings... and to make sure we are counting them.  We also heard that God does provide no matter what situation we are in.... there is always BLESSINGS....

So here we go..
Blessings...
1- GOD - who loves us, even when we fail
2 -An amazing HUSBAND - my rock, who has helped me every day to cry, heal and see hope.
3 - My wonderful DAUGHTER - who is on the move and helps mommy to get on the move.
4 - OUR FAMILY - who has bent over back to help us get through this time.
5 - FOOD - (Yes I have to add this)  I deal with stress and anxiety by eating.  I am healing through sushi, chocolate, ice-cream and Mountain Dew in a big glass of ice and all the wonderful meals that have been provided.  Some places in the world have NONE of the above on my food list!  So yes... it is a blessing to have food...(plus if you read #6.. you will see that I will be giving up most of these Food's very soon)
6- HART TO HEART Weight Contest - Hartzler family weight loss program that starts on MONDAY.  This is a blessing because we care as a family for better Health for us all.  (Even though a big money pot is involved)  ... if you want to join... ask how... this challenge is open for all.
7 - MOVEMENT - I was only stuck in a hospital bed for 48 hours and I about went crazy!  So this is a blessing that I have strength and health to move.  This helps me to PRAY more for those that have long term illnesses and disabilities that are always in a bed.

So TODAY!  Even though I do not want to think on positive things and even though I want to cry.  I am going to FOCUS on my blessing.... I hope you can do the same... with what ever situation you are in.  It helps me to see light and hope... it helps me to be thankful , because we are blessed with so much..... and GOD always provides!!!!

Here are some pictures of us at the Hospital & Between delivery and funeral.

Amy, Joanna & Jill calling people for the viewing/funeral.

Me, Jeanette & Rhonda - both 12 hours nurses that were with me the whole time before and after baby Flint.  They were great and did an amazing job.  We couldn't have asked for better care!!!

Thanks to all who brought us food between the delivery and the funeral.  We were all able to be together as a family.  Thanks to D & J Ingold and A & B Ingold's who opened up there homes for us to eat and be together.
