Who would like a hot dog?

My husband and I were on our way to Nashville on Saturday when I received a disturbing call from my sister. I had been to her house on Wednesday for another Card Club day and decided to make Hot Dogs for the club. I had put the first batch in the oven and they came out very yummy! Then I put the left over ones that did not fit on the tray in the oven for a second batch. The timer rang and I got up to check the hot dogs. They were not done so I wanted to leave them in there for 2 more minutes. Since I couldn’t figure out how to set Amy’s timer … I thought… oh I will not forget to grab them in 2 minutes. Well on Saturday my sister was looking for the cooking sheet that I had baked the hot dogs on. It was not in the cabinet, the sink or the dishwasher. She could not figure out where the tray had gone. After hours of searching for her tray she looking in the oven to find the HOT DOGS burnt to a crisp and sitting in the oven since Wednesday. When I worked at Smucker’s the afternoon panel that I baked for always wanted me to burn at least one cake that I was baking for them. They had to fill out a score card and never got to mark the word very BURNT. Well it looks like I finally accomplished very BURNT! The question I have is who would like a hot dog from me? Amy saved them!

That's hilarious! One time I was in charge of a supper for the young group and we were having chicken casserole. We thought we had everything cleaned up, but 1 1/2 weeks later I got a call saying that there was a VERY rotten chicken casserole in the church oven. They were heating the ovens up for a funeral, and they said it smelled AWFUL! I learned that I always need to check the ovens after an event:)
