Burg Hohenzollern - Germany

On Saturday morning we took a small weekend road trip through our mountains to Burg Hohenzollern that is on the other side of our mountains. We had beautiful weather and a relaxing drive. We really enjoyed not having to go on any high ways... even though we were on lots of little winding roads.

We stopped in a small village called Freudenstadt on the way. We were hoping that it would be a market day since this is a big market town, but the markets were not open on Saturday. This was a giant SAND BOX that they had in the town square. I was thankful that Kora was too little to play and Sam was wishing that Kora would have been bigger so that he could play with her. They had running water and everything in this little sand box.
This was also in the town square. No mater what time of year it was as long as the sun was shining the shadow would tell you exactly what time it was. When I took the picture it was 10:55! We thought this was really cool!

They also had a water fountain that Kora Lily and I played in. She couldn't figure out why the water was going up and down. She could have stared at it all day!

We then headed to the Burg Hohenzollern. It could be spotted miles out. The drive to this castle was beautiful!!!

When we got to the castle we decided to walk the 20 minute route to the top. We were not sure what we were thinking about 2 minutes into the walk and we were pretty sure it took us more than 20 minutes to get to the top!

We spent the night in a little bed and breakfast and then went to an AC Church in Balingen on Sunday.

We had a great relaxing weekend and really enjoyed the quit little drive. Kora Lily did great in the car and enjoyed the hike to the top of the mountain.
