Friday, July 31st - Neuschwanstein Castle

Thursday night we picked Dad, Mom, Grandpa & Grandma up in Munich. They rented a car and went to Salzburg on Wednesday and Thursday. The waited a very LONG time for us at the car rental place on Thursday night. I think this was our only blooper while they were on vacation in Europe. We then drove to a little bed and breakfast out in the middle of nowhere. We could hear the cow bells all night long. But it was prime location for starting our day on Friday.

Friday morning we went to Neuschwanstein Castle. We got there first thing in the morning and made our way up the HILL again. Since we didn't get enough of the horses the first time we were there... we thought we would try the horses out again. FYI** If you ever plan to go to Neuschwanstein Castle take the BUS ride UP the mountain and the Horse ride DOWN the mountain. ** It takes us a couple of times to figure all this traveling out! But it is a better walk if you bus up and horse down the mountain!! :o)

Sam, Kora Lily and I did not go on the tour again. So we eat some ICECREAM (shh ... don't tell pa-pa) and people watched (one of our favorite things to do... lol)
Before they went on there tour... we discovered this Bridge... (RED ARROW) YES! It is a people bridge that you can walk on that connects the two mountains, with the waterfall below.

After they toured the Castle we took the BUS path back and discovered that we could actually walk across the bridge. This is a picture of the ground below the bridge.

This was us... very thankful to make it off the BRIDGE!!!
We had a great time at the Castle. **Small history lesson - this is the Castle that Walt Disney was inspired by. (Is that HISTORY??)
